Artist Statement:
I am a Swiss-born artist who considered herself a “serious artist” at the age of five. Indeed, I never wanted more from life than being allowed to create art. And so I did. “Art is my life and life is an art. So, when all is said and done; life and art, for me, are one”. I penned this little ditty in my forties. It still holds true since I see myself spending even more of my life pondering and creating images of what truly moves me. My work has been exhibited in Galleries and Museums around the World and they have received numerous awards. At the Commonwheel Artists Co-op I am primarily showing my figurative terracotta sculpture. I hand-build those with out-door quality clay which is fired at high temperatures for maximum vitrification and durability. Each is a one-of-a-kind original piece of art. All pieces are signed and dated. As a secondary medium I show some reverse-glass paintings.
