Caron O'Neil

"In combining ethnic creations from around the world with one another, I try to create an expression of harmony and beauty that compliments the whole way we all should be."

About:
Caron, a native Coloradan, lived in Montana for 14 years and then returned to her home state to become the first female city park ranger in Colorado Springs for 30 years and now retired, to pursue her passion in art.

Artist Statement:

Living in the foothills below Pikes Peak, in one of her parks she was surrounded and strongly influenced by nature, but her obsession has always been in primitive old-world culture and ethnic art.  In 1989, with her passions and desire to create her own personal expression Caron found BEADS.  To inspire her unique artistic expression in jewelry, she began collecting beads from all corners of the world:  Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.  She combines and mixes all these cultures together into her own ethnic creations, most of which are one-of-a-kind.

Caron also creates unique mixed media sculptures made from objects, mostly from natural materials and manmade discards.

"I design all of my jewelry and art with a great love for what I do, in the hope of passing that on to others through the enjoyment of my work."
