Commonwheel Artists Labor Day Art Festival is excited to celebrate its 50th year in the
historic Colorado foothill community of Manitou Springs!
This is a juried Fine Arts & Fine Crafts show that will feature approximately 100 artists
and contemporary craft artisans. This event will be held on August 31-September 2, in
Memorial Park in Historic Manitou. Set-up for the event is on Friday afternoon on August 30th
and Saturday morning. The show runs from 10 am to 5 pm all three days.
Admission to this event is free so it is well attended. The show dates coincide with the
Labor Day Weekend holiday that is often the time many visitors have scheduled a final
summer trip in Colorado. It is a favorite for many locals and tourists alike. It is organized
entirely by the dedicated members of the Commonwheel Artists Co-op and local
volunteers.
Art patrons from the Denver, Pueblo and Colorado Springs regions find their way to this
free event nestled in the heart of the foothills west of Colorado Springs.
The Commonwheel Artists 50th Annual Labor Day Art Festival has been a leading
example of sustainability and waste diversion over the last 12 years. We strive to be a
Waste-Wise event by recycling as much waste generated at this festival as possible.
