CREEKSIDE GALLERY
Since 1974, Commonwheel Artists Cooperative's mission has been to promote the arts and support artists in the Pikes Peak Region by providing a venue for the exhibition and sale of their work.
Commonwheel hosts monthly themed shows at our Creekside gallery, a dedicated space inside our brick-and-mortar shop located at 102 Canon Ave, in Manitou Springs. The Creekside Gallery is an additional room in our historic building, built at the back of the shop over Fountain Creek, with plenty of natural light, remodeled to accommodate a large variety of art mediums.
Every year around May-June, we open a Call-for-Art application on our website for artists to apply. Artists can apply for a monthly show for February through October for the following year's schedule.
All applications are juried by the Gallery committee. The Creekside Gallery shows are then coordinated and organized by the Gallery committee for the following year. The Gallery committee is a large body of volunteer Commonwheel members who assist with the jury and schedule coordination. They also physically display the artwork monthly and host the opening reception on First Fridays of each month.
If you are planning on submitting a concept for an art exhibit, a group show, or just applying solo with new work, please apply on our website using the application link.
To apply there is a non-refundable fee of $12 each artist (up to 4 artists), and $60 for 5 or more artists.
