Since the gallery began in 1974, the mission has been to promote the arts in the Pikes Peak Region.
The “CHEERS! Drink Up”! Exhibition and Sale will take place at the height of the tourist season in Manitou Springs, Colorado, a popular vacation destination in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

Who can apply? Work Requirements
Any artists working in clay can apply. Original clay drinking vessels made by the artist within the last two years. Glazes are food safe. Please be advised, the artwork is displayed in a gallery visited by people of all ages. Extreme, overt mature content may not be displayed.
Call for Entries
Deadline: May 8, 2021. Online submission through CAFÉ: https://callforentry.org
There is a non-refundable entry fee of $30
For this fee, artist may submit 1- 4 entries. Entries can be all in one category or any mix of categories. Please submit only single drinking vessels. We are unable to accept pairs, sets, flasks, and pouring vessels.
Submit only one image of each entry. JPEG or JPG under 5MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Label digital files as follows: LastNameFirstNameCatagory.JPG Example: SmithJohnBeer.JPG
Commomwheel reserves the right to use images for exhibition promotional purposes only.
Awards
Ceramic artist Lorna Meaden will jury entries into the show and select the award-winning drinking vessels. $100 cash award for Best of Show , $50 cash awards for Best of… in each of the following four categories: Beer, Coffee, Tea and Spirits (think whiskey, cordial, liquor). Honorable mention awards will also be selected in each category.
Acceptance of Artwork
Artists will be notified of acceptance/decline into the exhibition by May 25. Please ensure your contact information (email address and mailing address) is correct and consistent across all forms.
Delivery/Shipping/Return of Artwork
Accepted artwork must arrive to Commonwheel Artist Co-op by 6pm, Friday, June 25 whether shipped or hand delivered. Deliver accepted artwork to:

Ship work in a sturdy reusable box and include return shipping postage. Accepted types of return postage include; prepaid return shipping label (UPS, Federal Express), arrangements to print and send prepaid label at close of show, postage stamps or a signed blank check. If you do not make arrangements to pick-up unsold work or include one of these return payment methods, Commonwheel will not return your unsold work and will consider the work a donation to our annual Pots by the Pound Sale.
Sale of artwork
All artwork will be for sale during the exhibition. Commonwheel Artist Co-op will retain a 40% commission on all sales.
Checks will be mailed by August 15th for July sales and September 15th for August sales.
Liability
Commonwheel Artists Co-op takes reasonable precautions to protect the gallery premises and artwork. However, Commonwheel Artist Co-op assumes no responsibility for damage to or loss of art due to theft, vandalism, or accident. The artist is responsible for his or her own insurance including shipping insurance. Entry fees will not be refunded for work that arrives damaged.
Agreement
Submission to this competition is an agreement by the artist to the conditions established in this prospectus.
